Another turn of the pages in time

Turned of the calendar page, the wind blows with a chilly breath. It reminds me time to mind the hearth, and wrap up well.
The chill feels good at night while I sleep. I listen to the windchimes as they gently sing and sometimes rattle when it is gusty. Grey clouds today; this evening the moon is not as brilliant but lights the clouds.
Can already feel the various moods of those anticipating happily, or dreading with disdain, the Commercial Christmas, wintery long evenings, and changes of the weather. Those that ski are waxing up and chatting about googuls, powdersnow and shusshing. I am thinking hot cocoa and a roaring fire for me! Those that wait for college bowls, Super Bowl, and hockey jostling for the teams they cheer on. I think of the WInter Solstice
The Yule Log The Holly and the Ivy, Mistletoe Boughs, laden with sweet smell
As I set the scene within my home and around my entry I welcome the long night and then the return of the sun. A respect for the time of the year past, and a honor to the new year on the horizon. A blessing on the here and now that I am.
